A funny animal calendar for 2027
The Tails of Britain 2027 calendar is a funny animal wall calendar with a very British sense of humour. Each month is a new illustrated scene of Britain's animals getting on with British life: badgers wassailing in January, hedgehogs at the pub, hares in a steeplechase, ducks at the chippy, otters punting on the Cam, a sheep at Wimbledon and a Christmas dinner that's got slightly out of hand. It's a British wildlife calendar for 2027 that's also a year of small jokes.
It's a practical calendar too. The grids start on Monday, the England and Wales bank holidays for 2027 are shaded, and special days are named, from Burns Night and Shrove Tuesday to Diwali, Bonfire Night and St Andrew's Day. It's A4, opens to A3 on the wall, and is printed to order in the UK on 300gsm silk paper with a metal Wire-O binding, ready to hang. At £24.99 with free UK delivery, it's a gift that lasts all year.

Calendar questions
What size is the calendar?
It is A4 and opens to A3 when it hangs on the wall, with the picture on the top half and the month grid below. It is printed on 300gsm silk paper and bound with a metal Wire-O binding, ready to hang.
Does the week start on Monday?
Yes. Every month grid starts on Monday, with weekends shaded in pale green, and there are small previous and next month grids on each page.
Are UK bank holidays included?
Yes. The eight England and Wales bank holidays for 2027 are shaded: 1 January, Good Friday (26 March), Easter Monday (29 March), 3 May, 31 May, 30 August, and the substitute days for Christmas and Boxing Day on 27 and 28 December. Special days such as Burns Night, Mothering Sunday, St Patrick's Day, Halloween and Remembrance Sunday are named too.
How long does delivery take?
Calendars are printed to order in the UK and sent by standard post, with free UK delivery. Allow a little over a week; the Etsy listing shows an estimated delivery date for your postcode. For Christmas, we suggest ordering by 14 December.
Is it a good Christmas present?
We think so. It is a gift that gets looked at every day for a year, and at £24.99 it works as a stocking filler, a Secret Santa present or a thank-you for a teacher or neighbour. Etsy lets you send it straight to the recipient as a gift.
Which animals are in it?
Badgers, hedgehogs, hares, ducks, foxes, otters, sheep, a pug, squirrels, owls, mice, and a Christmas table with a badger, a corgi, a tabby cat and friends.
