About us
Made at a kitchen table in Surrey
Pencil & Pantry started with a soft spot for Britain's animals and a weakness for a good pun. Tails of Britain asks what they get up to when nobody's looking: hedgehogs sledging down a Cotswold lane in a welly, otters building snow forts on a Scottish riverbank, seal pups stacking a wobbly pebble Christmas tree on a Cornish slipway.
Every scene starts as a name and a joke, usually over a cup of tea. We dream up each picture, then fuss over it with digital illustration tools until the details are right: the proper number of legs, the right sort of wellies, a harbour that really looks Cornish.
Then it's printed to order here in the UK and posted straight to you, ready to land on someone's doormat. If a card makes them smile, it's done its job. If anything isn't right, message us on Etsy and we'll sort it.

Everything is printed to order in the UK and sent by standard post. What's inside the cards?
Each card has a printed greeting inside ("Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year") and comes with a kraft envelope.
Will it arrive in time for Christmas?
For UK delivery before Christmas, we suggest ordering by 14 December (a provisional date, as everything is printed to order). Earlier is always safer, and each Etsy listing shows a delivery estimate worked out from your postcode.
Something's arrived damaged. What now?
Send us a message on Etsy with a photo and we'll put it right.
