About the design
Four hedgehogs in matching red scarves have found the perfect sledge: a lost red welly at the top of a snowy Cotswold lane. Three of them are hauling it uphill on a length of rope, and the fourth has already climbed in and is grinning over the top, ready for the run down. It's called A Welly Good Christmas, and it's the card that started Tails of Britain.
The joke has a bit of truth in it. Real British hedgehogs should be fast asleep by Christmas, curled up in a nest of leaves under a hedge or a log pile, because they hibernate through the coldest months, roughly from November until the spring. So this lot are definitely up past their bedtime. The setting is pure Cotswolds: honey-coloured stone cottages with lit windows, a wooden gate, and fresh snow lying on the lane.
If you know someone who leaves a gap under their garden fence for the local hedgehog, or who has a hedgehog mug, a hedgehog doorstop and a hedgehog tea towel, this is their card. It also works well for anyone who just wants something a bit warmer and sillier than another robin on a branch.
What's in the pack

Each pack contains 10 copies of A Welly Good Christmas: 5 × 7 inch (127 × 178 mm) gloss greeting cards printed on 280gsm card, each with “Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year” printed inside and its own kraft envelope. The pack is £16.99 and UK delivery is free.
Every pack is printed to order by our printer here in the UK and sent by standard post. Most orders arrive within about a week, and Etsy shows a delivery estimate for your postcode before you buy. For Christmas, we suggest ordering by 14 December; that's a provisional date, so earlier is safer. Sending your cards yourself? Our guide to last posting dates for Christmas 2026 has the Royal Mail deadlines.
