Stoat Christmas Cards, Pack of 10

About the design

Someone has lost a very long red scarf on a snowy dry-stone wall in the Dales, and a pair of stoats has turned it into a tunnel. One pops out of one end while the other disappears into a loop, and the chase looks set to go on all afternoon. The card is called A Stoatally Cosy Christmas.

Stoats are small, fast and famously curious, and dry-stone walls, with all their gaps and crevices, are a favourite place to hunt and hide. In colder parts of Britain, especially the Scottish Highlands and the northern hills, some stoats turn white in winter, keeping only the black tip on the end of the tail. That white winter coat is called ermine, and it's what we've given our two here. Further south, most stoats stay brown all year.

This is the card for wildlife watchers, walkers who know their stoats from their weasels (stoats are bigger and have that black-tipped tail), knitters who'll appreciate the scarf, and anyone who wants a Christmas card that's a little bit different from the usual robins and reindeer.
