About the design
A big brown hen has found the largest egg she's ever seen, sitting in a nest of straw in the snowy farmyard, and she's not leaving it until it hatches. It's a snowball. Her fluffy chicks are gathered round looking doubtful. The card is called Snow Egg-scuse, It's Christmas, and it's for anyone who has ever met a truly determined hen.
Anyone who keeps chickens will recognise the look. A broody hen can sit on almost anything, including golf balls, pot eggs or nothing at all, and she'll be very cross if you try to move her. Hens also lay fewer eggs in winter, because egg-laying is driven by daylight and December days are short, so a snowball-sized egg would be something of a miracle at this time of year.
This is the card for back-garden chicken keepers, smallholders, farm shops, anyone who buys their eggs from an honesty box at the end of a lane, and anyone who just likes a stubborn bird. It goes nicely with our goose and piglet cards if you want a farmyard set.
What's in the pack

Each pack contains 10 copies of Snow Egg-scuse, It's Christmas: 5 × 7 inch (127 × 178 mm) gloss greeting cards printed on 280gsm card, each with “Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year” printed inside and its own kraft envelope. The pack is £16.99 and UK delivery is free.
Every pack is printed to order by our printer here in the UK and sent by standard post. Most orders arrive within about a week, and Etsy shows a delivery estimate for your postcode before you buy. For Christmas, we suggest ordering by 14 December; that's a provisional date, so earlier is safer. Sending your cards yourself?
