About the design
A gang of otters has built a snow fort on a Scottish riverbank, complete with a round window and a door. One peers out of the window in a red scarf, one is posing on the roof, and another has worked out that the steep side of the wall makes an excellent slide down to the river. It's called An Otterly Lovely Christmas.
Otters are one of Britain's great conservation comebacks. They almost vanished from much of England in the second half of the twentieth century, but they've returned to rivers across the country, and Scotland, especially its west coast and islands, has long been a stronghold. They don't hibernate, and their thick, waterproof fur keeps them warm in icy water. They are also known for sliding down muddy or snowy banks, which is where the idea for this card came from.
This is a good card for river walkers, wild swimmers, kayakers, anyone who has ever stood very still on a bridge hoping to see a ripple, and anyone who simply likes a playful animal. It sits well alongside our seal pups and red squirrels if you want a wildlife theme across your Christmas list.
What's in the pack

Each pack contains 10 copies of An Otterly Lovely Christmas: 5 × 7 inch (127 × 178 mm) gloss greeting cards printed on 280gsm card, each with “Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year” printed inside and its own kraft envelope. The pack is £16.99 and UK delivery is free.
Every pack is printed to order by our printer here in the UK and sent by standard post. Most orders arrive within about a week, and Etsy shows a delivery estimate for your postcode before you buy. For Christmas, we suggest ordering by 14 December; that's a provisional date, so earlier is safer. Sending your cards yourself?
